Tickmill Forex competition - Trader of the month - February 2020

Only 38 items were enough to earn in the shortest month of the year 67 thousand USD. A trader named Yubao was recognized as the best investor of the last month of the competition Tickmill ze rate of return close to 100% and efficiency slightly above 55%.

Congratulations! We also encourage you to read the interview for Tickmill.

Check it out: Trader of the Month earned over USD 60 in December

Gold in the lead role

Yubao has doubled its account balance by concluding 38 transactions. The positions on the success decided gold and the Japanese stock index SYMPOSIUM (symbol: jp225). A whole series of long positions on gold was opened over the months from November 2019 to February 2020, and it was not until February 25 that they were closed. The largest profit from a single transaction exceeded 15. USD. There was also a shortage of crude oil, American indexes and silver, but in most cases they did not have a special impact on the result.

It is difficult to clearly define the approach that the trader was guided by when concluding transactions - we have both long-term positions and those lasting less than a day. None of the transactions had a Stop Loss or Take Profit order set, so it is impossible to determine the scale of the risk taken. However, it must be admitted that if Yubao has not changed his strategy and chosen directions for previously traded instruments (especially short positions on indices), at this point he certainly has a chance to be called the trader of the month also in March! 🙂

Interview with a trader

How long have you been involved in trade?

I have been trading on the Forex market for almost 2 years.

How did your adventure with Forex trading begin?

I noticed that Tickmill provides a good trading environment so I started investing.

What is your trading style?

I use high frequency trading to catch small market moves.

Do you have any risk management policies?

Yes, it is absolutely necessary.

What good habits should investors be fooled about?

The trader should control his position and pay attention to risk control.

Describe your best / most-remembered transaction (How much did you earn? What strategy did you use? On which pair?)

It was a USTEC instrument and I earned $ 20000. My strategy was to wait for the market to fall to open a large position awaiting rebound in line with the trend.

What advice would you give to novice investors?

Carefully control the positions you have open, play with the trend.

Considering the current market situation, what do you think data / investors should pay attention to?

Traders should observe market trends, try to open a position when the market is bought out or sold out.

What is the most important thing you expect from a Broker?

I like Tickmill because it has really low commissions, professional customer service and secure payments. I wish there were more instruments to invest.

competition rules

The winner of the competition is selected by the Tickmill Jury. The win is not only determined by the rate of return - it is the total that matters. Factors such as earned profit, position management, risk and trading skills are taken into account. There is also one more necessary condition - interviewing the broker and consent to make the account history public. Only then does the prize of $ 1 go to the trader's investment account.

The principles introduced are aimed not only at showing that you can make money on the Forex market, but also consciously educate and encourage sharing experience with other traders.
