Hang Seng Index (HSI) is an index of shares of companies listed on the stock exchange in Hong Kong (Hong Kong Stock Exchange). It consists of 33 companies with the largest capitalization. The largest of these is China Mobile, which also occupies the 25th place in the world. The companies constituting the index are jointly responsible for approx. 70% of the whole capitalization of the local stock exchange. We will also find companies such as the Lenovo Group, Bank of East Asia, Denway Motors and China Resources Enterprise.

HSI trading began on November 24, 1969. The index is calculated and published by the company HSI Services Limited, a daughter company of Hang Seng Bank. Since 2001, the Hang Seng Composite Index Series was established, which currently includes 200 companies.
